Mary Grace’s Sari Sar
Recently Spreadwings Enterprise collaborated with a woman named Mary Grace for a Sari Sar business. A Sari sar is a small shop in the Philippines similar to a supermarket, selling food, snacks, candy and also baked goods like cake, bread and pastries. This woman had a long time dream of starting her own business but did not know where to start or how to keep it running during the hardships she was going through. As she prayed and believed in the promises of God, He opened the doors for her. Klick here to read the full story…Dream of Bakery
Mary Grace had always been a home baker who could make the most delicious traditional bread, cake and Filipino pastries. She had learned the recipes from her parents who had also gotten them from their parents. Her parents had always dreamt of starting their own bakery but never had a chance to do so, because they did not have the resources or finances for it. Instead they taught their children, so that the traditional recipes could be preserved. Mary Grace loved baking and this dream her parents once had, became her dream instead.Baking in Church
Because she was very good at the food she was making, she was often asked to help with the cooking and baking in church. There she could also share what she was thought with the younger sisters in church. The church was actively preparing and providing meals for people in the area who were facing financial hardships. The church was located far from her house, but it did not bother her. Doing the works of God and helping the less fortunate already brought her a lot of joy.Starting her own Sari Sar
As she was helping the church reach those people in need, she realized that in her own neighborhood there were also people facing hardships, herself included. There was no bakery nearby and they also had to travel a distance to get bread for example. She really wanted to help by starting a bakery but it was not that easy. A brother in church introduced to her to the company Spreadwings Enterprise. With their help she was able to make her dream come true of starting her business and make it flourish. She always wanted to start a bakery, but the Lord led her to start a Sari Sar instead. In the Sari Sar she could also sell food and snacks aside from the bread, cake and pastries she was baking. Another blessing she received from Spreadwings, was the chance she got to strengthen her faith together with other believers. She and her parents thanked God for the way he had made for her to make their dreams become a reality.
