Some time ago Jane’s Kumari Store, a merchandise store, was opened in collaboration with Spreadwings Enterprise in the Philippines. This store, dedicated to selling essential goods such as rice packs, meat packs and snacks was created by a woman who had seen the demands in the area and wanted to make difference. Hardworking mother

Jane was a hardworking single mother trying to create a better life for herself and her children. She was working for a demanding boss and struggled to make ends meet. This made her want to quit her job and start her own business, a merchandise store, that would provide essential goods to people in her community. She could not quit her job right away because she had not saved enough money to make her dream come true.

Determination

With a brighter future in sight she saved as money as she could from her job. After years of hard work and determination, she finally had enough money to open a store of her own. But she soon realized that aside from the finances, ambition and the desire she lacked the resources and expertise to turn her dream into reality. She did not want to give up and started looking for ways to gain the essential knowledge in the field of business but to no avail.

Mentorship

As she finally decided to give up, she came across Spreadwings Enterprise, a company dedicated to empowering individuals to excel in their businesses and their Christian faith. This company provided the exact resources, guidance/mentorship she needed to start her own business and also grow in her faith. With their help she gained her confidence again and the know-how to navigate in the world of retail. Researching the needs of her community, she discovered a demand for essential goods such as rice and meat packs which would provide nourishment to the families in that area. Recognizing the desire for variety, she also decided to offer delicious snacks like pizza and ice cream.

Opening the store

With the support from Spreadwings Enterprise she was finally able to open her own merchandise store. Filled with diverse products and essential goods she created the perfect store where her costumers could find convenient and affordable products, food and daily necessities. Her merchandise store quickly flourished and with the income from her new business she no longer had to work for her demanding boss. Long hours and exhausting shifts at work were now replaced by financial stability and the joy of providing for her children.
