Since April 2023 Spreadwings Enterprise collaborated with a lady in the Philippines, named Joana, to help her grow her Packed Lunch small business. She witnessed the hardships faced by individuals with low incomes, especially when it came to accessing healthy, fresh and affordable food. As a mother she understood the situation these people were in and was determined to make a difference.

Passion for Cooking 

Joana always had a passion for cooking which she turned into a small Packed Lunch business selling different healthy viands with rice. She focused on the people who struggled to make ends meet, and wanted to give them an opportunity to enjoy delicious meals at very affordable prizes, without the people having to worry about paying for their meals immediately.

This was a very thoughtful and impactful approach since the people could pay when they received their paycheck, in the middle of the month (at the 15^th) or at the end of the month (at the 30^th). Because this was successful, she was also able to supply packed lunches for her company’s employees. In this way these employees also did not have to worry where they could get their food at work every day.

Her Business is Growing  She had a heart of compassion toward the people, but this was just a small group of people she was helping. She wanted to reach more people with her business, and this could only happen if she experienced more growth. She also needed more financial support in the coverage of the ingredient costs. With the help of Spreadwings Enterprise she managed to grow her small business. As her business continued she received lots of gratitude from her customers. It became a small symbol of hope, one packed meal at a time, proving that a small act of kindness and understanding could transform lives.
